Tips for Dentists: How to Check Patient Benefits and Eligibility

Did you know that Delta Dental of Iowa offers an easy way to check your patient's benefits and eligibility?

1. Log into our secure dentists' page with your username and password.

2. Enter your patient's information including name, date of birth, along with their subscriber ID or Social Security Number.

3. Now you will see his or her up-to-date benefits information. You can also check up to 18 months of past claims for your patients, to reference what has been paid or what has not.

Never hesitate to be clear about your network.

This helps your patients understand the benefits they're able to receive, and can help take some of the guess work or uncertainty for patients that often surrounds insurance billing.
