Delta Dental of Iowa’s Green Room will discuss caregiving and the impact on Iowa’s workforce

According to AARP, nearly 1 in 5 U.S. workers are providing care to an ill, aging or special-needs adult. Join Delta Dental of Iowa for their next Green Room on “Caregiving: It’s more than a full-time job for your employees” on Tuesday, April 25 at noon CST. 

Attendees at this free, virtual event will listen in as panelists explore how caregiving is impacting today’s workforce and how employers can support their employees. This session of the Green Room offers a conversation moderated by Jeff Russell, president and CEO of Delta Dental of Iowa and his guests Marsha Aldridge of IMT Insurance, Tiffany O’Donnell of Women Lead Change (WLC) and Candice Smith of Caregiven. Panelists will discuss caregiving from both HR and personal perspectives, as well as WLC data on how caregiving is affecting women specifically.

“Caregiving stress affects the mental, physical and financial health of employees, but many employees remain silent about their situation for fear of losing their job or missing out on a promotion,” said Jeff Russell, president and CEO of Delta Dental of Iowa. “As employers, we have an opportunity to support our employees through their caregiving experience.”
